Thanks for the publicity!

Another good thing I have not highlighted well enough on the web page is that we have a wireless system to accept the Oregon Trail card and debit cards. Combined with other programs that help lower-income shoppers, Oregon Trail helps ensure that the good stuff is accessible when food budgets are tight.

Lin,
let me start by saying "Welcome to Oregon". As the Ambassador to our Sandy community, let me offer you a great place to visit. Mt. Hood provides a wonderful visit and drive around the mountain. If you take Hwy 26 East, off of Hwy 205 (heading to Portland) you will go through small towns and the villages dotting the Mt. Hood Hwy 26 East corridor. Lots of great places to shop and eat along the way. Arrive at Government Camp and enjoy the small town and museum, then head out to Hood River. You'll find a great town next to the Columbia River, with lots of interesting shopping, wind surfing folks, and a nice hotel restaurant next to McDonalds. (Can't miss McDonalds as it is next to Hwy 84-The Columbia Gorge Highway.) You may wish to spend the night here. As you head back towards Portland you will experience the beauty of the Columbia Gorge and the river that runs next to the Hwy. Multnomah Falls is a must see on your way back, and is located about 30 minutes to the west of Hood River, on Hwy 84. You can get a latte and climb the two mile path that will place you at the top of these magnificant Falls. Back in the car and a 40 minute or so drive west from the Falls will bring you to Portland. Enjoy the metro while up our way. I hope you have a safe and wonderful time exploring our great state! As the saying goes....Happy Trails To You!

Beautiful area, that. I have been trying to find a contact number for the nearby McBee Memorial Park so my family can reserve a camping spot, but am having no luck whatsoever. Does anyone know of this park near Alsea Falls and how to contact the private owner? Thanks much!

I love Bald Hill! The paved paths are great for running or just taking a beautiful walk in a georgeous landscape. (They're measured too, so you can do a 2, 3, 7 mile treck) The trails are great for biking and horse riding, and there are even off-leash areas for your dog owners. You should check out the majesty of the valley from this gift of nature!

Did you know that several of our hotels in Corvallis offer a 15% discount if you drive a hybrid or a alternate fule or zero emission vehicle. This is a much better way that rewarding people with gas coupons to destroy the earth even more.
